  I participated in the 3rd season of the Accelerator Program at AUBG. Our project was Unboxd - Bulgaria’s first digital C2C fashion resale service for brand new and pre-worn fashion goods, sparking an eco-conscious retail movement that will reduce the fashion industry's environmental impact. During the program, we learned how we can go from just an idea to a fully-working business in 4 months. We had great mentors who shared valuable tips and insightful information from their professional and startup experiences. Elevate ended with an awesome Demo Day where all the teams pitched their ideas in front of investors. Unboxd was one of the two winning teams!   This was my first time mentoring teams in a 48-hour social entrepreneurship competition for innovative and sustainable ideas and it was great! I was impressed by the whole organization from the Better Community Club at the American University in Bulgaria, the cases distributed from all the NGOs that took part in the event, and last but not least the teams that participated. 💡I had the privilege to mentor some bright students from Sofia high school and AUBG. Both teams were asking for my feedback and appreciating my knowledge (which is also to be improved) and then converting it for their case-solving purposes. I was mainly guiding them, together with my colleagues from the NGOs). In the end, both teams were chosen among the top 3 teams, finishing in 1st and 2nd place among 13 competing teams.I couldn’t be prouder! 😊🏆 Show less

  A new journey is on the way! 🚀After 2 successful seasons, once as a mentor and once as a mentee, I joined Season 4 more excited than ever. I am on a mission to give as much support, mentorship, knowledge, contacts, and know-how to my prospective mentee as I can. I had the honor and the responsibility to mentor Zornitsa Naydenova during the last season of Mentor the Young. During the 3 months, she progressed a lot with her project "EcoHunt" (a mobile application that builds up in people the habit of cleaning small areas, pathways, and gardens which are around them), gathered a team of 5-6 people who will help her build the first MVP, and won 1st place in a startup competition called "Innovation Academy". Her devotion and discipline helped her along the journey. Zori made the foundation of her role as a product owner. I believe that "EcoHunt" will keep growing and one day it will be a fully-operational mobile application serving a great social cause! Show less

  On October 5th, I had the pleasure of attending an event organized by Greenburg at the Youth Center Burgas, dedicated to sustainable fashion! 🌿With Unboxd, we joined by delivering two insightful lectures:- The first focused on different types of fabrics and which materials to prefer when choosing our clothes—favoring natural over synthetic. 🌱- The second lecture was about “The Life of a Shirt”—from production to how we can extend its life through sustainable practices. 💡👕It was a wonderful event, full of valuable insights and ideas about sustainable practices.   I had the privilege of participating in the Green Youth Academy, an intensive weekend program dedicated to empowering young leaders with the skills and knowledge to advocate for sustainable practices, social justice, and environmental protection. Organised by the independent youth organization “Младежи за зелено бъдеще” (Youth for a Green Future), the event emphasized active civic and political engagement in fields such as environmental conservation, social justice, democracy, and human rights.Key Sessions & Skills Developed: • Advocacy Skills with Tsvetelina Garelova, focusing on practical tools for effective communication and engagement in environmental causes. • Panel Discussion on Environmental Challenges with experts from various organisations. • Youth Participation and Planning workshops led by experienced facilitators, enhancing my understanding of project planning and team collaboration for community initiatives. • Networking and International Collaboration with members of the Federation of Young European Greens, strengthening connections with like-minded individuals dedicated to environmental and social causes.Throughout the program, I gained a deeper appreciation for the role of young leaders in driving change, particularly in the context of Eastern Europe. I also had the opportunity to exchange ideas with peers and professionals, enriching my perspective on sustainable development and advocacy.“Младежи за зелено бъдеще” aims to foster youth engagement in environmental and social issues, offering training, campaigns, and projects that build skills for activism, personal growth, and community development. As a member of the Federation of Young European Greens, the organization contributes to the transformation of social and political institutions across Eastern Europe.
