  Truven databases are used by large employers to store healthcare claims for varied purposes including cost analyses, fraud detection, financial reporting, and various consumer products. I manage several databases for employers here while also helping with the implementation process of new tools internally.In my roll as a consultant, it is my duty to identify and understand our clients’ healthcare information needs in order to maintain and enhance their data warehouse. A list of my roles and responsibilities are also as follows.• Create custom logic to standardize and transform data across multiple vendors to maintain clients’ specifications and expectations• Analyze source layouts from various vendors and identify usable fields that pertain to data model and data warehouse requirements• Perform various types of analytic and database testing on transformed data to ensure clients database is accurate• Investigate and resolve roots causes of complex quality issues using data warehouse reporting tool• Scope, analyze, and design database implementations and modifications to ensure quality results of the clients’ data warehouse reporting needs.• Lead roll out process, design implementation instructions and processes for new reporting tools.• Work with senior staff to develop timeline and documentation for new processes and tools.• Perform user acceptance testing on new functionality for reporting tools before it is made available to all users• Transform data using SQL to create client deliverables from their data warehouse Show less
