  Shale Testing Solutions provides radiological testing of material primarily from the oil & gas industry. . Material testing, employee hiring training and all administrative duties, audits, and state regulatory compliance are a few of the responsibilities my lab position entails. I serve as Radiation Safety Officer, for Apex Solids Control and Belmont Solids Control, sister companies of STS. The responsibility of this position is to ensure the Radiation Protection Plan is in place and being followed daily. As Waste Compliance Officer for Apex Solids Control and Belmont Solids Control, I am responsible for working with customers to assess if the waste needing disposed of meets our solidification facility guidelines, profile the waste properly, review submitted profiles and, if waste is approved, generate manifesting required for disposal at either of our solidification facilities. As a facility supervisor, it is my responsibility to ensure the employees are using good safety practices, performing as a team member, and keep my door open to any concerns they may have. I also handle the interviewing, hiring and disciplining of employees. Show less
