  Coordinator of country risk across the entire portfolio of $3 billion in over 90 frontier markets, chairing a committee that analyses and sets limits across all of the countries in which we invest. Analyst for investments in the former Soviet Union and Asia Pacific. As part of this I have carried out due diligence missions in countries as varied as Côte d'Ivoire, Mongolia and Tajikistan. Beyond country risk, I carried out and composed primary research and papers on "Microfinance and Conflict", "Impact Investing and Women in the Developing World" and many others. This included detailed analysis both of risk and the impact created by our investments. In addition I frequently participated in investor presentations to fund managers and other institutional investors. I have also written articles that have been published in both The Guardian and Le Temps.   Visiting Lecturer

  As visiting lecturer at HEC Paris, the no. 1 undergraduate business school in Europe, I taught an elective class of more than thirty undergraduates entitled "Analysing Risk and Opportunity in Frontier Markets". The class consists of six three hour sessions looking at the particular challenges of frontier markets in terms of: political and macroeconomic context; marketing and strategy; HR and operations; and operating sustainably. Classes consist of original presentations based on industry practices and my own experiences, as well as case studies and video calls with professionals in the field. Show less
