  Swimming Coach

  I taught and coached swimming to various groups of children. The youngest were 2-4 -years old who just were learning to swim. Mostly I coached groups of 6-12 -years old kids to train their swimming technique and start competing. For those groups I planed the schedule and goals for the semester and coached them with a partner.

  I worked at Tarastenjärvi waste treatment plant as a member of customer service staff. I guided customers to sort their waste in right places and also received and guided all the loads of waste to right places. This work taught me a lot about customer service and waste management in Finland. But also learned I how to work under a pressure and hurry and to do independent decisions.

  Summer Trainee, Process Operator

  I worked as a process operator at Circular Economy Village of Fortum Waste Solutions in Riihimäki. The work consisted of taking care of the line which separates waste and different plastics and it's daily maintenance. I also got experience of shift work and learned about machines in practice.The most exiting thing was to see and learn how plastic can be sorted, what happens to it and what problems there still are in this industry. I also learned a lot about safety issues and how important it is to be aware of the risks. Show less

  I worked as a project manager for a jobfair event which brings thousands of students and over 150 companies together at Tampere University campuses. My role included for examble scheduling, budgeting and team leading of 14 team members. I worked as a member of a team to organize the biggest two-day job affair for students in Finland. Our job was to contact the companies and take care of the practice concerning the event. I also focused on the marketing, communication and social media of the project.

  I worked at the back office of sales and developement in Waste and Recycling department of Fortum. My work was to create helping tools for sales and customer service and help where ever was needed. I also guided three younger summer trainees in their work.
