      Employed as FD of Premier & Bedfordshire Newspapers between Jan 2005 and Nov 2006. Annual turnover £28m. Prior to this I was the FD at T R Beckett Ltd based in Eastbourne for 8 years. Whilst at T R Beckett's I was also the Divisional FD for Johnston Press South and did a 9 month interim role as MD whilst the actual MD was on secondment. Prior to this I held the roles of Financial Controller and Group Accountant.Achievements during my time at JP/Emap:- Centralisation of 5 accounts departments resulting in reduction of staff numbers and costs;- Three systems implementations, two of which resulted in further staff reductions;- Developed monthly accounts processes and built budget and rolling forecasting models;- Lead and developed teams through periods of change;- Involved in the acquisition of Amberstock Publishing, embedding it in and turning its PBIT from around 10% to 40%- Reducing DSO from over 70 to 35 days;- Part of the Internal Audit Team to promote best practise within the Group;- Employer elected Trustee of the Pension Fund;- Development and Delivery of training - Finance for Non Finance Staff.
