In this position I have had to deal with issues such as smoking in hostel rooms, drinking in the halls of residence premises, theft, fireworks, cleanliness and so forth. Furthermore, I have had the privilege to sit is as a Residential Officer (a RA supervisor) and this role usually puts me in midnight shifts. Nov 2017 - May 2018It attachéPerformed the task of IT User Support at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat which included but not limited to the responsibilities below• Assisted users in the setting up of their account particularly in the time the organisation was migrating all users profile on to Office 365• Responsible for the setting up of IT equipment in a meeting. These included setting up conference calls and video conferencing using Skype and teamviewer• Reviewing User Support documentation and ensure quality of these documents• Experience and familiarity with the use of ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus• Performed installation of CCTV cameras and ensure in working order• Assisted in the weekly checks of the organisation's IT infrastructure such as Domain Controllers, Email exchangers, Printer servers, File servers, network stacks, DNS. These weekly checks included checking storage spaces, temperature, TTL to these devices, CPU performance, time synchronisation. Towards the end of the week these details are updated to a document made available on the file server.• Supervised cabling works by third party vendors• Assisted managing users printer accounts on printer server using PaperCut MF. These included enabling users to use coloured printing or by order from the supervisor to increase the users printing quota.• Assisted in the managing of Ethernet ports using PRTG and PuTTY. PRTG is a web application used to manage network switches (or stacks). Mar 2019 - Jul 2020Police constableAs a police officer i was posted at Vunidawa Police Station located at Vunidawa Government Reserve at the province of Naitasiri.Attending to a complainants report is my key responsibility. Once a report/complain is lodged it is the duty of my supervisor to assign an Investigating Officer (IO) to attend to that report. As an IO, I first record the complainants statement paying attention to details that may satisfy an offence as specified under the Crimes Act of 2009 however the offence may be in other laws. Using the statement I would enquire more into the report, traveling to the place of the incident seeking witnesses and writing down their statements or to uplift the weapon to commit the offence and usually at the same time I would arrest the suspect. I have interviewed suspects by first explaining to them their rights. The questions in this interview is usually aligned with the complainants statement. For instance, to prove the time and place the incident occur, and to find evidence to satisfy the elements of offence. Once I have proven the offence was committed I would prepare and take the suspect to the Magistrates court(MC). The type of offence will dictate whether the case will remain at the MC or move to High Court.In the police station (PS) I am usually in the Uniform Branch (UB) assigned to be the Station Orderly. My duties include the update of the Station Diary book that keeps up to date the important events that occur in the PS daily. Eventsinclude the report in for duty of police personnel and their reporting off, the time the police vehicle leaves the station with its destination and the purpose of it being driven out. The time of storage of exhibits which are the important materials of a case file. I am also responsible of the care, maintenance and safety of all inventories in the PS including the vehicles, computers, the update of bail sign-in books, cell books, ensure fuel reserve in case of power outage, care of generator and so forth. Jun 2020 - nowProjects Worked On.1. Upgrade our Access Control Systems [Door and Elevators]. In the previous system we had some limitations. We were unable to provide majority of the data requested by our CEO, we had licensing issues, the system was on a different network and we only accessed it directly on the server. The previous system was running on Windows Server 2007 on our legacy hardware. It was an old system that is no longer supported and the legacy system had storage space issues as well. With the assistance of Wormald Services we rewired the access control panels, traced, labeled and checked all doors throughout our FNPF branches. We created a new VM for the new system. The upgraded system is IP based. amongst other things it's advantages is that it is centralized allowing freedom of accessibility. In addition, with the new system every opening and closing of door is logged and is useful for reporting or investigation should the request come in. Ingrit as the name of the system is spelled allows the admin to lock the doors or open whilst sitting at his/her cubicle. The cards are also easily encoded and provisioning of accessnhas not been simpler.2. Nakasi AgencyThe year 2022 we opened our FNPF Nakasi Agency. In this project the team and I were responsible for the planning, procurement, implementation, and completion of our IT services. These are counter PC's and Screens, QMS machines, QMS TV's, Card Printers, one copier and one printer. Apart from the above the team and I was responsible for cabling the agency ourselves. We cabled Nakasi Agency and installed all equipment ourselves. Except for termination of uplink from Telecom the team and I was responsible for everything IT that was supposed to be done at Nakasi Agency.3. Nadi Pension Office [Ongoing] Show less As a Graduate Trainee part of my responsibility was user support. Most end user machines run Windows 10 Pro operating systems and all run the Microsoft Office Suite [Either 2013 or 2016 Pro Plus]. I have assisted users with Microsoft Office related issues and so forth. The fund also have a few Mac PC’s that I have worked with. I have provided support remotely with our users who are based in other agencies. Remote support was done through TeamViewer and MS Teams.Moreover, I have facilitated users request on meeting support. Created meeting links on various platforms such as Zoom, WebEx, MS teams, and Google Meet. Facilitated board meetings for directors who are joining from abroad. Moving on, I have also assisted members and employers who are facing difficulties with our platforms. At times some IT issues are escalated from our employer’s team and member services team. I have had assisted members in cases that they cannot submit their withdrawal application on The FNPF mobile app. There have been cases of employers that cannot submit their CS file on the portal and these are all escalated to my team and I. These are important issues and we see to it that all these issues are rectified at the earliest. My work also comprised of administrative works such as searching quotations of laptops, copiers, portable scanners and others. I have conducted assessments on the quotations submitted to determine which vendor provides the best quotation. The assessment is submitted to Unit managers to raise LPO. I have collaborated a lot with our copier supplier Remington with copier related issues and purchasing of new copiers. Have also engaged with Datec and GEM for our warranty services.Work being done is logged as tickets. The ticket based system is web help desk. The system ensure that all requests are logged and closed and users can be updated on the status of their issues. A report is generated and reported to our managers and corporate governance team.
