The position required researching content, teaching tutorial classes and lectures to undergraduate students, marking tests and examinations and providing assistance to lecturers and professors at the faculty.       Completed articles of clerkship at ENSAfrica. As a candidate attorney I received hands-on practical legal experience and contributed to providing legal services and expertise to large corporations of various industries as well as to individuals (including other legal practitioners) across the world. I worked in the Litigation / Dispute Resolution department which involved work in the fields of public administrative law, insurance and consumer law as well as general commercial dispute resolution. I have appeared in the District and Regional Magistrate’s Courts and I have also been involved in, and appeared in, mediation proceedings. Additionally, I worked in the Corporate Commercial department which involved work in the field of company law, providing commercial advisory services and undertaking general commercial drafting. During my time at ENSAfrica, I provided 150 hours of pro bono legal services to the Mitchells Plain community in South Africa. My services included drafting wills, providing tax advice to non-profit organisations such as churches, obtaining protection orders for victims of domestic violence and assisting in divorce and maintenance orders. I also presented lectures to educate the community on basic legal rights. I was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa in February 2017.       Worked as a foreign language teacher in Daegu, South Korea (part of Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education). I taught children between the ages of 12 – 16 as well as professional adults of various ages. The students had varying capabilities in the English language. I was thus required to present ideas and concepts succinctly and simply. The position entailed lesson planning and presentation as well as administrative tasks. The position relied heavily on strong presentation and oral communication skills and allowed me to work with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds.
