  Site engineer jobs will include technical, supervisory and organisational elements.As a site engineer is part of the site management team, and takes some of the responsibility for security, health and safety, and organising and supervising materials and people. Site engineers mark out the site, make sure designs are applied correctly and liaise with main and sub-contractors and the site manager. Regular liaison with the client, its representatives, and any consultants is another key part of the job.Site engineers act as day-to-day managers on a construction site, and the main source of technical advice and quality control for everyone working on it. The role also involves levelling and surveying a site, checking drawings and quantities and ensuring the accuracy of calculations.As a site engineer will plan the work to be done and organise things so that deadlines are met. If technical or any other problems crop up, it is up to the site engineer to resolve them. For many site engineers, the most satisfying aspect is seeing a project successfully reach completion.    Review all relevant technical specifications for the project. Prepare structural and Piping substantiation documents which include stress analysis, static test plans, static test results, and more. Understand engineering drawing systems. Know and understand regulatory requirements and customers specifications. Generate finite element models or rigid body analysis.From Analysis Section:Ensure that all designed piping is analyzed in accordance with the relevant sections of mandatory health and safety standards, including any pressure piping regulation or code. Prepare, check and approve design calculations including calculations for pressure, pipe wall thickness, branch reinforcement, pipe supports and attachments to meet code requirements. Ensure the quality of engineering work and maintain all technical documentation. Review piping scope and identify all critical and non-critical lines. Stress analyze, check and approve piping systems and pipe support designs in accordance with project requirements, design input parameters, codes and standards and industry best practice. Determine the piping loads at foundations, structures, vessels, equipment and transmit them to the related disciplines to incorporate. Assess applied piping loads on equipment and vessels against allowable design loads. Develop and maintain project pipe stress specification and related technical documentation. Communicate and follow up on the results of stress analysis with piping design and other disciplines to optimize design Review layouts and area studies with respect to pipe stress analysis and pipe support requirements. Define expansion loop requirements. Specification and requisitioning of specialty piping items associated with stress analysis e.g. spring hangers, expansion joints. Approval of piping isometric drawings, to ensure correct application of piping specifications and conformance with pipe stress and support requirements.
