As a Navy Plane Captain; I was responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and corrective actions of nine helicopters.Work-center management experience in Quality Assurance (QA), and shift supervisor experience in the Tool-Control Division.Served on a six-month Air Detachment aboard USS Paul F. Foster (DD-964), a U.S. Navy Destroyer-class ship conducting missions overseas. Paul F. Foster departed for her eleventh deployment on January 27, 1999. While serving as part of the Pacific Middle East Force, she participated in Operation Iron Siren, Eager Sentry, and Arabian Gauntlet. As Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Information Technology Program Manager, conducted Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) of 13 data collection and management systems hosted across multiple server systems across multiple continents, including Host Based Security System (HBSS) the Department of Defense (DOD) commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) suite of software applications used within the DOD to monitor, detect, and defend the DOD computer networks and systems, as well as Navy Career Tools Afloat (CTA) Program that allowed mobilized staff members to manage their individual training requirements independent of NKO (Navy Knowledge Online) Program.As Northrop Grumman MQ-8 Fire Scout Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) autonomous helicopter ("drone") Communications Technician, managed Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) for four UAVs on a five-month deployment supporting anti-piracy operations for the U.S. Africa Command. Utilizing a record 4 Northrop Grumman MQ-8 Fire Scout UAV drones. The Navy's fourth Fire Scout detachment logged over 500 flight hours and regularly maintained 12-hour days on station, switching to provide continuous support. One Fire Scout set a single-day record, providing Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) coverage for a 24-hour period in September 2012 over 10 flights.Fire Scout is the U.S. Navy’s only ship-based autonomous helicopter to provide effective situational awareness with wide area radar over land and sea. Managed $8.27M in computer networking assets, software, and Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) equipment for technical and administrative support to more than 700 end users; oversaw 340 Cryptographic Controlled Items to support 12 subordinate organizations across five states and monitored 38 frequencies between two states.Ensured compliance with Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) IT database; developed a team of 15 IT supervisors to execute systems configuration updates and security patches, and to investigate vulnerabilities, increasing readiness 95%.
