      Design, build, debug, and deploy cross-platform Web applications for the Commission. Identify agency business processes that can be incorporated agency's web site and develop web-enabled applications. Design reports and screen layouts for web-based systems. Assist end-users with web site content management as required. Streamline forms for publication on the agency web site. Develop an IT departmental intranet site for document sharing. During 2009-2010, redesigned PSC / PUS websites from ground up. During 2009 designed ZaptheGap web application on PSC website from ground up.Make any corrections and modifications to agency's primary database, CTS (Consolidated Tracking System), and various other database applications; produce major revision changes as needed; provide user any technical documentation on updates; perform administration related to logins, users, and access to the database management system as needed, in accordance with directions from the DBA. During 2003-2004, helped create the internal No Call application from the ground up. During most of 2006 - 2010 served as DBA.Maintain the scripting software for all domain users.       Manage the IT department for the Office of Safety and Security (SASE) which includes University Police Department (UPD), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and Building Access (BA) for Texas A&M University (TAMU). I also support the TAMU employees at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for Brazos County.Supervise two current IT employees. Report directly to assigned individuals from each of the SASE / MAS departments. Responsible for the purchasing and receiving for any IT related hardware / software for the SASE / MAS departments.Work closely with other IT managers in the Operations domain (migration in 2012) for the University including maintaining the domain and related disaster recovery systems. Maintain the server hardware (Dell) / software (Hyper-V / Server 2008 R2 - 2016) along with the related department systems / servers. Those include SQL, Web, DNS, DHCP, File / Print, and other servers. The systems include Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Report Management System (RMS), QueTel Inventory Tracking, WatchGuard recording in the patrol cars, Safety Vision personal cameras on the officers for the UPD and various MySQL databases / applications for EHS.Implemented the Hyper-V setup that is currently the infrastructure for the SASE / MAS. The current setup consists of 3 host servers in the primary site, 2 at the DR site and Compellent SANS. This replaced the aging configuration I setup when starting. Backups are handled by Rapid Recovery from Dell / Quest. This replaced the AppAssure from Dell setup I also started.Created a detailed DR plan for UPD in early 2014 with updates and testing scheduled throughout the year. Failover testing occurs in early January each year with the first full test set for January 2015.Assist Sungard (now Superion) in updating the CAD / RMS systems on an annual basis. Show less
