These were Philosophy and Ethics (A), ICT (A), History (B) and Business Studies (B). I also helped coach public speaking to students in the lower school (year 8) as well as participate in the sports team for Cricket and Table Tennis. In addition, to partaking in a Bar Mock trail at the Birmingham Crown Courts in a nationwide competition in 2012.

      I had been selected by teachers and fellow peers to be one of five students to represent England at the European Parliament. I was part of a large group of international students who derived a charter on cultural diversity. I was then selected as one of the representatives to present the charter in the European Parliament.

I dealt with a variety of clients on a daily basis which allowed me to develop my client skills which aided me to achieving my daily targets.

      I have been chairman of the Holdsworth Club (The University of Birmingham Law Society) the oldest law society in the UK for the past two years as well as being the first to be chair for two terms in the 87 year long history. I lead a committee of 11 with over 800 members currently studying at Birmingham Law School. This involved day to day leadership and organisation ensuring my fellow committee members had sufficient funding and support to ensure their events whether that be careers or social were being conducted successfully. I am also the first point of contact for the society with educational institutions, chambers and law firms providing a bridge between our sponsors and our members. One of my main responsibility has been to raise sponsorship to ensure our events have been able to run. I have raised over £17,000 in sponsorship which has amounted to an increase of 25% increase since 2013. In addition to this, I helped manage a budget of over £70,000 p/a. Show less

Business Challenge Winner 2013 Allen and Overy Oct 2013 I participated in a Business challenge 2013 hosted by Allen and Overy where the team I was a part of came first from our University. The challenge consisted of a multi-case study which focused on the due diligence of a potential merger and acquisition. We had to assess the potential external factors which may impact the decision such as the potential debt liabilities that would be incurred and governmental issues that may arise.

The scheme is awarded to individuals who have shown strong academic credentials and capabilities through a variety of assessments such as on-line tests and assessed essays. The Scholarships are designated for students who excel in these exercises as well as their academics such as A-levels. Due to excellent performance in the various assessments I was successful in being granted a scholarship.
