    • Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen

      Apr 2013 - Apr 2014
Coordinator of Volunteer and Outreach Programs

Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen is a nonprofit organization committed to providing no cost, hot nutritious meals and support services in a dignified, safe and caring environment to all needy individuals. At Loaves & Fishes, I managed 175 volunteers each week to serve meals to our guests across 3 San Jose locations. On a daily basis, I developed and supervised volunteer orientation, training, and performance to ensure consistent, high quality service to the organization and its guests. In addition, I directed the development of appropriate recognition, retention, and motivation programs for volunteers. As the volunteer program continued to grow, I noticed an opportunity to leverage corporate volunteer support and focused on building corporate relationships which lead to an increase in volunteer grants and donations matched by corporations. • Sobrato Family Foundation

      Apr 2014 - Jul 2017

I supported the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits (SCNP) program in addition to supporting the Thriving Nonprofit Sector program at the Foundation. The Foundation has provided 72 nonprofit organizations office space grants across 3 nonprofit centers. The annual market value of donated space in the three centers is $5.3 million. I provided administrative support with ongoing monitoring of leases and tenant monthly CAM payments. In addition, I screened nonprofits interested in our office space grants, conducted site visits with current tenants and promising applicants, and supported the on-site SCNP staff with daily operations. As the Thriving Nonprofit Sector (TNS) program continued to grow, my responsibilities did as well. I managed and executed logistics for all Thriving Nonprofit Sector program events in addition to assisting the Director in the planning process to create program and event content. I've successfully planned several large events (150+ participants) with the program goal of increasing the effectiveness, scalability, and systemic impact of our nonprofit partners, and to support the development of more high-quality nonprofit leaders. In addition to providing operational and administrative support for the SCNP and TNS programs, I supported the implementation of Fluxx, grants management system, across all staff teams. Show less The Sobrato Family Foundation supports local nonprofit organizations by providing office and conference space grants across 3 nonprofit center locations. I represented the Foundation as the sole on-site contact at the Redwood Shores Nonprofit Center for conference space users, tenants, vendors, and the public. I provided property management services to over 25 nonprofit tenant organizations, supported daily conference space meetings and events for tenants and other local nonprofit organizations, and created a dynamic environment for tenants to network through creative programming.
