I then moved to Manchester, working at BBC Radio GMR, BBC Radio Merseyside and BBC Radio Lancashire. I ran an experimental radio station, BBC Radio Rochdale, for the whole of its successful three-month trial. I then worked for BBC TV North West Tonight, BBC Newsroom South East and BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat.
