Responsibilities included working as a team and individually on a branding project for an online marketing company, in which I had to research into my target audience, explore a variety of ideas, develop a final concept and artwork various deliverables.

  Graphic Designer (work experience placement)

  Freelance placement working in the boardgame department of Tigerprint. Responsibilities included concepts for new board games as well as development and re-branding of old games. As well as designing the ‘gameplay’, I also had to design how the games would look and use focus groups to see how the games would work. I had to work quickly and consistently to short deadlines and have excellent technical skills in Photoshop and Illustrator.

  A Graphic design position working for the NHS at Leeds General Infirmary as part of the in-house design team in the Design, Printing and Stationary sector of the hospital. Responsibilities include creating new artwork and layout for hospital leaflets, booklets and media for patients.

  This was a varied role in a busy studio creating print and digital design inhouse and for high profile national clients such as Morrisons Supermarkets and Carte Blanche Cards.The work involved conceptualising and designing various print and digital output, for example, magazines, catalogues, point of sale, branding, packaging, targeted digital marketing and websites. Another aspect of my role involved art directing photoshoots and working closely with photographers in realising a design concept.This position allowed me to work as part of a busy team, working alongside other creatives and marketing professionals, as well as liaising with external clients and printers.   I worked as the Lead Graphic Designer at Leeds University Union, a charity and award winning students’ union. In this role I managed a team of designers and created effective design and communication for 32,000 members to maintain the position of number one students’ union in the UK.This was a highly creative role, which involved providing design direction to our busy studio. It was my responsibility to shape and challenge ideas in order to deliver effective design and communication to meet strategic objectives.I created and managed a variety of projects for print and digital platforms, including branding, targeted marketing campaigns, advertising, illustration, large format design and animation.
