  Process Engineer

  Employed as an intern process engineer responsible for surveying of the chemical plant, and in turn, the modifications to the plant piping and instrument drawings. During my time, I worked in a team of engineers to correctly tag and label the equipment on site, aswell as attending HAZOP and safety meetings with lead engineers regarding new projects on the site.   R&D Motor Drives Engineer

  Employed as an intern responsible for the testing, recording and post processing of data associated with noise level in brushless dc motors. Alongside a team of interns, we developed frequency response functions using Dyson software to indicate the sound power level of the different harmonics, whilst investigating the possible causes of high sound power level in various batches of motors; as part of an ongoing study to reduce motor noise levels, soon to be required by Chinese law in 2019. During my time I gained hands on experience related to the deconstruction and assembly of brushless dc motors, and improved software skills in Matlab and Minitab. Show less

  Employed full time as a mechanical engineer for a leading bespoke Hi-FI company based in Sheffield, that design, manufacture and build everything in house. Technical responsibilities included: 3D CAD design, rendering, 3D printing, coil winding, measurement drive units, laser engraving as well as assisting building prototypes. Expected to manage multiple projects at once and to liaise with manufacturing, suppliers, and management to deliver goals. Most notably managed the development of a new patented vinyl turntable, funded by Innovate UK (IUK) and supported by Sheffield Hallam University. Expected to be flexible when challenges arose and find solutions as quick as possible. Insight gained into how the high-end audio market operates. Show less
