  • Development of a sustainable and efficient energy and water strategy incorporating the latest renewable and innovative desalination technologies for increased agricultural production.• Research and study into the Environmental Impact assessment of large scale Desalination in the Arabian Gulf with emphasis on salinity variation and submission of internal reports on the same.• Technological and resource assessment with focus on solar power generation, grid integration and demand management.• Assessment of integrated Energy and Water systems network in the state of Qatar by means of simulation and optimization.• As member of several multi-stakeholder committees, responsible for review and providing feedback on any legislation/government policies in development that may be related to synergy of the food security masterplan with other national projects. (e.g. Water Act, National Ground Water Act, decision on TSE)Achievements:- Submission of an internal report on desalination impacts in the Arabian Gulf required Reviewing literature (desalination & oceanography) over the past 30-40 years and CTD salinity data from the last 100 years. The acceptance of internal report led to the QNFSP sanctioning two further studies conducted by GEOMAR - Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and a joint study by experts from Environmental Studies Centre - Qatar University, Texas A & M university at Qatar and Ministry of Environment .Important conclusions from the external studies were similar to those of the internal report and these finding were a significant contribution to the master plan.Being part of multidisciplinary, multinational team involving QNFSP staff, McKinsey consultants and Govt. Stakeholders etc further widened my horizons on the subject. Show less

Responsible for undertaking in-house and client based projects in data analytics, data reconciliation, modelling and simulation.
