      I joined A4 Plus for my year of professional practice. I was taken on as a Junior designer and was integrated into the active projects straight away.During my time at A4 Plus I was part of a range of jobs in several industries including structural, medical and commercial. Throughout all these jobs I was able to increase my knowledge of both the design industry and the software within it. All work was to ISO 9001 Standards as well as stringent company standards. This has significantly improved my technical drawing capabilities as well as my CAD skills on a range of software.I was then given the opportunity to project manage several jobs both singularly and with a team of designers.       I was initially employed to help produce technical drawings for a composite project working closely to ensure company drawing standards. I was then asked to remain and help to complete a composite panel design project for an internal bike rack on a train. From the success of this project I was including in the design team working on an emergency exit solution for the new London Underground Trains. I was responsible for the design of a complete detrainment system that could be rapidly deployed and implemented by a single user. This work was predominantly completed on Solidworks and consisted of solid, surface and sheet metal modelling followed by a range of Technical drawings. Show less

      I have worked on a range of plastic projects at WDL allowing me to experience and learn design for injection moulded parts. A range of prototyping techniques have been needed in several projects from 3D printing components to assembling aluminium extruded frames. As well as prototyping I have completed a range of testing including pressure and water proofing. Throughout my time at WDL I have predominantly worked on Solidworks but have also completed projects on Creo and Solidedge.
