Together, we visited growing factories in many cities throughout China, analyzed their business plans and budgets for growth; and prepared to introduce them to investment banking firms in New York. During these travels, I built on my Ph.D. in cross-cultural communication, to gain understanding of Chinese business culture; and to understand why many Chinese/U.S. business partnerships have difficulty.   I am a strategic advisor to Friends of Jewish Renewal in Poland, and the organization in Poland that develops new Progressive Jewish congregations: Beit Polska.After years of Holocaust followed by 50 years of Soviet Communist domination and enforced anti-Semitism, many Poles today are discovering they have a family connection to Judaism; and other Poles are discovering a curiosity to learn about Judaism. Beit Polska offers an open door to all who come to learn, offering Friday/Saturday social gatherings and congregational worship, and a step-by-step learning program at the end of which, many choose to convert to Judaism.We are now serving Jewish communities around Poland, and plan to grow more in the next two years.
