  Coordinated the Physician Lactation Education Collaborative meetings, assisted in the work of the Collaborative, including scheduling community talks at clinics, hospitals, and physician offices, editing Collaborative materials, and assisting in the creation of the Physician Lactation Education Modules. Wrote a grant to receive funding from the Washington Toxics Coalition to create an educational brochure on environmental toxins and breastmilk. Worked with experts in the field to create the brochure, conducted field testing, analyzed results, edited the brochure, and took it through production and distribution. Provided general administrative support to the Breastfeeding Coalition of Washington Program Manager, including communication with local coalitions across the state, taking meeting minutes, and assisting in many other projects that make up the work of the BCW.   My primary project in this time period has been the Business Case for Breastfeeding grant, which shifted to the Worksite Lactation Support work of the BCW. - Assisted in the coordination of a state-wide Business Case for Breastfeeding training, performed follow up tracking and support to the trainees who went out in their communities to work. Collected information from participants and wrote the final grant report. - Created a worksite recognition program based on other state materials, promoted, and tracked employers through the recognition process. - Created bus ads and billboards and placed them around the state in low breastfeeding areas. - Created education materials for businesses and distributed them directly and through local coalitions, and an informational webinar for businesses to learn about how to create a worksite lactation support program. - Coordinated a second training for coalition members on the eastern side of the state. - Wrote newsletter articles and website text to promote the program. Provided general administrative support to the Program Manager, including - Monthly communications with the BCW Steering Committee.- Writing articles for the quarterly newsletter.- Communicating with and surveying the coalition membership on a variety of topics to support their work and the work of the BCW. - Assisting in the coordination of the annual state-wide coalition meeting and awards ceremony. - Materials creation and distribution.
