  Tour Guide (As a National Service/Sherut Leumi Volunteer)

  The Gottesman Family Israel Aquarium is the national aquarium in Israel. The aquarium's primary missions are:• Inform the general public about the variety of fish and marine animals in Israel's maritime areas.• Educate the public to protect and care for the oceans, seas, lakes, and other water sites and explain why everyone is responsible for preserving them.• Raise awareness around different challenges in the aquatic environment in Israel and beyond.Working as a tour guide at Israel Aquarium, the central part of my work was to lead 90 minutes of guided tours for aquarium visitors from all over the Israeli population and adapt myself to every group's distinct needs.My role also included:• Conducting tours to people with special needs with great patience and a big smile.• Delivering explanations in guided stations during the afternoon, Saturdays, and on holidays.• Participating in the monthly team meetings and brainstorming ideas for improvement with my colleague.Additional actions I have taken during my work:• I built a remarkable trust-based relationship with my manager and got his training.• I collaborated with the fish treatment and diver team and assisted them occasionally in feeding the fish and providing feedback while they cleaned the aquarium windows.• I used my radio voice to record different self-guided stations in the aquarium.• I gathered data and created an information file on the collection of oysters and shells.• During the first year and a half since the aquarium's grand opening, public transportation didn't exist for anyone wishing to visit it.To change this, I have written a detailed letter to the Jerusalem municipality, the Ministry of transport, and Egged (public transportation company), passed it to the other co-workers, and motivated them to resend it to the agencies noted above. Due to our combined effort, we have put enough pressure to make a difference and successfully brought public transportation to the aquarium. Show less

  Rimon Internet Service Provider (ISP) is a company that provides filtrated internet services (also known as "kosher internet") mainly to the religious and orthodox communities in Israel.The filtration includes blocking offensive content such as violence, drugs, and adult-related websites.Working as a technical support representative at Rimon, the central part of my work was to resolve a diverse set of internet problems for the company's customers.My role also included:•Responding to customer calls, listening and understanding their encountered technical issues, and directing them toward a solution.•Configuring a wide array of routers and establishing an initial internet connection.•Installing, configuring, and removing the filtration software onto the customer's devices.•Troubleshooting and solving a variety of internet problems and handling filtration inquiries.•Remote controlling the customer's computers to help solve the issue.•Providing an exceptional customer service experience.•Communicating with the other representatives to find solutions to technical failures faced by the customers.•Writing extensive documentation about the case and the steps taken to solve it.•Escalating higher complexity issues to higher-tier representatives following company policies and guidelines.My working method was to diagnose the problem thoroughly, figure out its root cause, and address it. While doing so, I provided a kind, patient, considerate, and professional customer experience.Additional actions I have taken during my work:•I built a trust-based relationship with my manager.•I suggested improvements to the team working processes, resulting in a better customer experience.•Due to my professionalism, the employee instructor took me as a role model for the new workers.•I accompanied the new workers in their first conversations with the customers and assessed their performance.•I received the 2021 outstanding employee certificate (attached below).
