In 1992, was instrumental in the formation of COMSAT International Ventures, which was formed to develop, acquire and manage early stage communications properties in the developing markets. Responsible for the investment of roughly $300 million in opportunities in Latin America, Russia, Eastern Europe, India, China and Southeast Asia.
