  Key Activities: Determine the operability and maintainability of system, and develop the life of plant taking into account present status of plant.  Develop and maintain operating technical specifications, specific operating instructions / operating set points, alarm response procedures and map work flow. Responsible for engineering analyses of failure mechanism on boiler pressure parts component when required. Use root cause analysis techniques when required, this includes the contributory and direct causes to carry investigations of failures in the plant. Create plant maintenance philosophies and strategies.  Co-ordinate outage efforts between the inspection and repair contractor Carab Tekniva Group is also responsible for the drawings on the plant and it is my responsibility to ensure that these drawings are accurate and signed off.  I am also accountable for the Scope of Work given to repair contractor as well as an inspection Scope of Work when the Unit is down for unplanned or planned shutdown.  When data is returned after inspection, it is my duty to make necessary recommendations for reparations.  Use and fulfill engineering change management principles in SAP to document implemented plant modifications. Approve professional site drawings of all boiler components. Boiler tube failure confirmation and shut down recommendations. Develop and maintain the framework for verifications and validation of relevant system modification, system interface requirements, system maintainability. Do technical evaluations.
