      Responsible for all things IT for the Norfolk Naval Air Reserve Center, and as the senior IT person at the RESCEN, a echelon four command, I was also responsible to support four echelon four Squadrons in the Hampton Roads area, on IT issues that were outside the skill set of their assigned IT staff. Additionally, I served as the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) Deputy Contractor Technical Representative (DCTR) and had to work with all the commands under RESFOR in the Tidewater area to prepare and submit their order to replace all their unclassified IT equipment with CLINS from the NMCI contract.       Performing as a Senior Engineer on a distributed infrastructure team responsible for facilitating and maintaining a complex development environment used for NAVSEA to develop their next generation of applications. These applications are to be used by the Navy’s Regional Maintenance Facilities and eventually all the Navy’s shipyards. This infrastructure spans multiple geographic locations and leverages complex and complementary technologies such as VMware, NetApp, Citrix XenApp and CitrixXen Desktop as well as a host of Oracle products. Duties span troubleshooting complex defects related to the infrastructure, code migrations, participating in brainstorming sessions on how to approach challenges and as well as providing advice and suggestions on how to move forward as a more cohesive team, making the best use of our tools and people. Show less Lead engineer on a team of six staff comprised of three Booz Allen staff and three subcontractors. Presently doing both engineering and operations and maintenance work for the client. The environment is a combination of both physical and virtual architecture, leveraging enterprise products such as EMC VNX SANs, VMware VSphere virtual infrastructure, Recover Point and Data Domain appliances and HyTrust. This architecture supports production, test and staging work for the following applications. Oracle Enterprise Clusters, Documentum, SharePoint, Weblogic J2EE servers as well as a Hadoop cluster. In addition to O&M, we are also in the process of a migration project moving all of this architecture into remote datacenters. My role is to lead several sub projects and oversee the rest. Also in the process of developing a lab design for I&A to help them streamline some of the processes. Show less Lead a team of subject matter experts who perform Cyber Security assessments and training on board naval vessels and shore commands in order to provide the needed knowledge transfer to enable local staff to maintain their networks and platforms within DISA and DOD Cyber standards. Also serves as technical lead for a group of 14 Cyber Security SME’s who conduct Cyber security assessments on the Navy’s largest unclassified network.
