  This was my first opportunity to manage inventory. I learned to move inventory around, setting it up so that it works best for those picking orders. I was mainly in charge of training new hires. I improved Consolidated Supply's Operations University program, making it much more effective and productive, exceeding Management's expectations. I was also in charge of training all employees in forklift safety and operation. For two years in a row, I improved Consolidated's year-end inventory process, resulting in record completion time.While at Consolidated Supply, I often:Picked material for outgoing shipments.Acted as back-up expediter to assign work orders to associates, manage will-call queue, and organize shipments.Received incoming supplier shipments and processed customer returns.Adjusted inventory.Assisted customers with loading parts.Helped dispatch delivery trucks.   While at Climax, I took what I learned from my time at Consolidated Supply and I built upon that, adapting it to a new organization with different processes. I have improved the way that shop work orders are picked, I have helped write ISO documents, and I've written SOP's for my entire department. I also have full knowledge and understanding of the NCMR database and process (and I've improved it), as well as the Intuitive ERP. I enjoy being a team-player and assisting my coworkers in every aspect, solving problems and making things run smoothly. I don't just impact the logistics department, but I also work with the planning, purchasing, engineering, programming, manufacturing, assembly and sales departments. This year, I've planned, managed, and led all three North American facilities' year-end inventory counting processes, working closely on this project with the accounting department. At Climax, I've learned how to handle multiple tasks at once--completing those with higher priority first while still finishing all tasks within a timely manner, satisfying all parties involved. I am on the Safety Committee, Product Lifecycle Management Committee, and I'm on teams for various other projects.My tasks at Climax include:Pick material for Assembly and Machine shop.Cycle count all inventory to sustain efficient year-end audits.Organize and maintain inventory accuracy within the Inventory Team.Release shop work orders to keep machines running at capacity.Assist leaders in other departments to investigate issues and solve problems daily.Communicate with engineers to resolve Engineering Change Notices.Sustain quality part conditions throughout the warehouses.
