  Packaging and distributing thousands of products across the country whilst studying full-time! Tollesbury Enterprise was my university job. The role allowed me to focus on studying whilst holding a stable income. Better yet, I learned some valuable lessons along the way. Highlights:- The power of a fun work environment. Through having a work hard play hard culture I found myself wanting to go to work instead of being forced to work. - Time management was important for this job in terms of getting product out on time and performing under pressure.- Learning to get it right. Early on in the role I made a number of mistakes getting product mixed up and orders wrong. This was disappointing and embarrassing for me as I don't like making mistakes, The learning from this experience was to do it right and by taking my time.   Selling the iconic CookieTime Xmas Cookies. This was an amazing opportunity, and I was lucky enough to land a role out of the 1700 applicants across the country. The role involved working as a sales representative for CookieTime in the North Shore region. Highlights:- Selling a total of 4,440 buckets of Cookies! - Community engagement. This was an amazing part of the role as by the end of the selling period I felt as though I had connected with the community, I was selling in. I also managed raise money and donate a total of 20 buckets to Salvation Army just in time for Xmas.- Managing money. Making sure that I charged the correct amount of money and that the number of cookies I sold matched with the amount of money I had received. - Direct selling. The main way I sold product was by setting up and stand and getting in front of as many people as possible. I feel as though I grew a mental toughness through rejection but also going through the highs and lows that is selling a product based on commission.- Marketing was very important and getting my name out there in the community was vital to my success.- Communication. I had to communicate through email, social media and in person to sell these cookies and felt myself grow in confidence communicating across all of these areas. Show less
