      Activities and Societies: While working a full time job I attended classes and volunteered as an Equal Opportunity Program student counselor. Working with six 'at-risk' students to help them manage class assignments, develop social connections and graduate. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 Grade PT.I also attended Indiana State University as an undeclared major and Indiana University, Bloomington as a Pre-Med major. I later chose to follow my interests in completing a Communications degree at CRC. During my years working in radio, I also attended American River College as an electronics/electrical engineering student in developing understanding of the technical aspects of radio and TV. I hold an FCC Third Class Broadcast license.

      After beginning as a writer and afternoon news editor, I began covering Capitol, crime and other news throughout the Sacramento Valley area as a street reporter, while also hosting ten hours of local morning news weekends. I also enjoyed working as host of the pre-Ebay classified ads of the airwaves on Radio Tradeo talking with listeners and helping sell their items.
