      Performed simulation of the mechanical properties of pseudo-elastic organic crystal using computational quantum mechanical modelling methods, including molecular dynamics simulation (MD) and density-functional theory (DFT).

      My work focus on ML-based materials’ design and optimization. I generate the desired training data and train ML models accordingly. Based on the well-trained ML models, I implement self-learning algorithms to perform architectured materials design and optimizations.I have 2 related projects. One of them has been published and another has been submitted.1) ML-based Stiffness and Poisson’s ratio optimization of digital materials. First generate random digital materials (pixel-like) with Python. Second, calculate the stiffness and Poisson’s ratio of materials with Python-assisted FEM. Finally, train and validate CNN model with calculation results. Perform optimization based on a genetic algorithm.2) Machine learning based design and optimization of curved beams. First, Generate beams with random thickness distribution with Python. Calculate their mechanical responses. Next, train a fully connected neural network to predict the mechanical response of beams by Keras. Then design and optimize the structure of beams based on our well-trained neural network.I have taken courses such as Data structures & Algorithms, Algorithmic Problem-Solving, Software Engineering, Machine Learning during my study as a PhD student and I got 4.0/4.0 for these courses with full passion. Because of my research projects and course works, I have more 3 years' experience in coding with Python and Java and I am very interested in coding and algorithms. Show less
