  Managed a team of desktop, network and software engineers and was responsible for all aspects of the data center.Once acquired by GE, I transitioned to the professional services department as a Certified Banyan/Vines and Microsoft trainer. GE Capital opened up a series of Microsoft certified training centers using my MCT designation.

  Managed a team of 131 consultants; this included FTE’s and sub-contractors for both Migration and the Identity Management practices. Was responsible for scoping engagements and assigning resources based on skills and experience. Also managed a team of developers in St Petersburg and Moscow to build add on utilities for Quest products. Built and maintained an application to match skills to schedules as an Outlook add-in that was used for years at Quest for resource scheduling. North America as my territory, I worked with sales to promote our products. I conducted seminars in most Microsoft offices in the USA. My recorded video presentations were mandatory viewing for all new hires in pre-sales. I was SE of the quarter 6 times and SE of the Year twice based on sales achievement for our team.

  Designed and executed the migration of Novell and Exchange as part of the divestiture from Bristol Myers Squibb. Created custom scripts to accommodate migration scenarios, as well as a highly efficient login script. Travelled extensively; particularly in Asia to manage local resources involved in the process.

  Due to specific requirements that no out of the box solution offered, I designed and created a custom application and process for migrating from Novell to a Microsoft Windows based environment. This solution included the creation of groups, nesting groups, populating those, copying the data and setting permissions as well as creating DFS links amongst other things. This was a turnkey solution that was then handed off to Bank resources (Once mentored) that was successfully used for the entire project. I also created a similar solution that was used to migrate from an acquisition that was already Microsoft based (Wilmington Trust). Because this was a parallel effort to the Novell migration, I performed this migration as a “Big Bang” migration over a single weekend. Show less

  Developed and executed migration plans from Novell to Microsoft, for US East, West, and Europe and Asia divisions. This included developing custom software to determine and propose programmatically how to restructure the data prior to migration. Was brought onboard as staff augmentation to perform the migration in one of the divisions. Wrote an application to manage the end state that included share creation, setting permissions as well as create and secure DFS Links post migration.
