      I am the Co-Founder and CTO of Lighthouse. Lighthouse is a company which is aimed at the growing market of older adults and addressing the modern problem of an aging population.We are developing a product using intelligent lighting and universal design which aims to prevent falls, particularly among the elderly, and promote independent living.Lighthouse was accepted into a startup accelerator program called Launchbox where we received, tailored business advice, funding and support. We were also approved for an innovation voucher to allow us to continue to develop our product. During the entire process we have established and maintained close relationships with our core user group, older adults, and the group of aging researchers, doctors, occupational therapists, nurses, etc. This is to ensure that we develop a user centered design.       I was an educator in the Trinity Walton Club, which attempts to inspire and educate secondary school children in the areas of science, technology, engineering and maths. I lead the technology and engineering courses for three of the four years that I was involved.

      During the summer of 2016 I completed a HIPEAC Industrial Internship with Movidius. The goal of the internship was to examine the potential to apply Movidius' revolutionary technology to the area of robotics and to develop proof of concept robots using the Myriad 2 chip.The role involves a broad range of engineering skills and disciplines including software, electronics, design and manufacturing. During my time there I was responsible for the design, using CAD software, manufacture, primary using a fused deposition modeling additive manufacturing approach, and software development for several robotics projects using Movidius' chip, the Myriad 2.I was also responsible for extensive documentation of the work I have done as a way to facilitate other robotics researchers and developers to take advantage of Movidius' architecture.
