  My responsibilities at Altema was handling all aspects of the company’s finances and operations. This included human resources, payroll, income tax reporting, GST remittances, Quickbooks internal balancing of all accounts, supplier relations, financial statement reporting, audit, and compliance. Also worked closely with the CEO and portfolio managers to ensure the hedge fund operating within regulations.Altema operates a market neutral hedge fund to which I also handled the back office operations. This included supporting the investment managers, working with our fund administrator to monitor fund activity and approve the daily net asset value of the fund. In addition, I was responsible for the operating and subscription bank accounts held at our custodian.
