I am currently serving as the Project Manager for the MetroRAPID North Corridor BRT project in Charlotte. HDR is currently working with the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS), stakeholders, and the community to identify future service opportunities along the I-77 corridor. Known as the MetroRAPID North Corridor BRT project, we are identifying and assessing park-and-ride locations along the I-77 corridor. We are also identifying opportunities to directly connect the managed lanes that the bus currently operates in to the park-and-ride facilities along the highway. By engaging key stakeholders and the public, we are developing a plan to enhance the current MetroRAPID service and identify capitalprojects that complement bus service. Study goals are to:• Implement all-day service, including nights and weekends• Improve existing park-and-rides• Identify new park-and-rides• Directly connect new I-77 express lane to park-and-ride facilities• Integrate BRT stations into mixed-use developments Show less I served as Deputy Project Manager for CONNECT Beyond. CONNECT Beyond is a first-of-its-kind regional mobility initiative led by the Centralina Regional Council and the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) and supported by HDR. CONNECT Beyond creates a long-term, modern, and high-quality transit network for the two state, 12 county region. It devised a cohesive vision and plan for future public transit and serves as a blueprint for how to implement a robust, interconnected network combining high capacity transit lines, enhanced bus service and other innovative mobility solutions. Crafted alongside 17 transit agencies, who accounted for 24.4 million transit trips and more than $200 million in operating costs, the CONNECT Beyond plan produces an integrated system that provides access to jobs, education, medical facilities and services, and serves as the foundation to the region’s continued economic competitiveness and quality of life. CONNECT Beyond’s cohesive, long-term vision plans for future public transit investments and serves as a blueprint for how to implement a robust, interconnected mobility network. The plan produces a system that provides access to jobs, education, medical facilities and services, and serves as the foundation to the region’s continued economic competitiveness and quality of life. Show less I served as the Project Manager for the Regional Transit Framework Study (RTFP) of the BCD Council of Governments. The Regional Transit Framework Plan (RTFP) is a three county regional study that will identify and prioritize a set of high capacity transit corridors for the region. It will set the stage for how the region begins to establish a true multi-modal transit rich network. The results of this study will be incorporated into the region’s Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and set the stage for future premium transit infrastructure. Show less I served as the Project Manager for LYNX’s FY 2018-2027 major update of the Ten-Year Transit Development Plan (TDP) and accompanying Route Optimization Study (ROS). The TDP is a 10-year plan required by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), and serves as a basis for defining public transportation needs within the LYNX service area. The TDP is a strategic transit plan for the central Florida region and is prerequisite for receipt of state funding for transit. In addition to preparing the TDP major update, the project also includes the development of a Route Optimization Study intended to reimagine the fixed-route network to provide more frequent and reliable transit services that support and integrate with all phases of SunRail, BRT projects, ridesharing services, bikesharing services, and other modes of travel. The goal of this initiative is a robust multi-modal plan addressing all modes, with a sharp focus on the optimal deployment of LYNX’s financial resources to enhance mobility throughout the Central Florida region. Show less DDOT Streetcar Program Management – PlanningI served as Project Manager on multiple tasks for the District of Columbia Streetcar Program for the District Department of Transportation (DDOT). Project responsibilities included serving as a senior member of the planning team for program management effort related to the District's DC Streetcar system, coordinating efforts related to the completion of alternatives analyses and environmental assessments across several project corridors, and supporting broader system wide planning efforts to develop and advance DDOT's vision.DDOT Anacostia Streetcar Planning and Environmental AssessmentI served as Deputy Project Manager on the Anacostia Streetcar Extension Environmental Assessment (EA) and worked with the project team, including the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the DC State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) to advance the implementation of the streetcar project. This was the first transit project for DDOT to receive a Findings of No Significant Impact (FONSI).DDOT North-South Corridor Transit Alternatives StudyI served as the Deputy Project Manager and Planning Task Lead for the North-South Corridor Study that evaluated and screened streetcar alignments from Buzzard Point, through the National Mall, Downtown north to Walter Reed.
