      Employment as Junior Engineering Officer B Shift on 230 Sqn including Flight Commander duties with responsibility for the welfare, discipline and administration of between 30 – 60 service personnel working extended shift patterns on Puma support helicopters, in Northern Ireland in support of the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI). Aircraft Specialist Engineering Officer and holder of delegated airworthiness authorities responsible for providing engineering support to 15 Puma helicopters including management of engineering resources including manpower, support equipment, aircraft and aircraft spares to ensure the Sqn meets its commitment to support PSNI. Overall shift responsibility for Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental Protection. Responsible for the logistical planning and engineering organisation for a short notice 2 Puma aircraft deployment to Iraq including initial set-up of deployment in theatre and continued operations of aircraft for first 3 months of the deployment providing 24 hour support to Coalition Forces.       Air Launched Munitions Trial Officer

      Air Launched Munitions (ALM) Trials Officer duties on the Harrier GR Mk 9/9A and T Mk 12 Project Team at the Aircraft Test and Evaluation Centre (ATEC), MOD Boscombe Down, in conjunction with QinetiQ personnel. Responsible for evaluating Harrier armament systems, weapons and armament stores, and trials to support the evaluation. Specific roles and tasks included: Lead Trials Officer for the ALM assessment of the Paveway IV 500 lb precision guided bomb on the Harrier GR Mk 9/9A including responsibility for the ATEC elements of the Safe Separation and Guided Trials carried out under the joint trials process; the ALM assessment of the Harrier T Mk 12 aircraft’s initial operating capability including the assessment of the suitability of legacy stores; Task Technical Manager for the assessment of the MBDA Rangeless Airborne Instrumented Debriefing System (RAIDS) pod on Harrier GR Mk 9/9A; and Lead Trials Officer for the Brimstone Firing Trial on Harrier GR 9/9A with responsibility for the planning of the ATEC elements of the trials carried out under the joint trials process with BAE SYSTEMS.
