  At six (6) years old, youngest member of the family (Parents & 3 Siblings) while Circumnavigating aboard a forty foot Trimaran. By the age of nine (9), was considered qualified to stand solo night watches underway. [My Father held a valid British Foreign Going Master license, first issue 1950]Setting off from Southern California, sailing via Acapulco to the Marquesas then through French Polynesia et al to Fiji, and down to New Zealand, onwards by way of the Torres Straits, across the Indian Ocean, around South Africa, up through the Atlantics and Caribbean to Florida, completing the voyage at age (13) thirteen.A total of One year underway, and Seven years living aboard, attending school in various locals as boat / school schedules aligned. The auxiliary diesel engine logbook indicated less than 50 total running hours. Show less

  Service aboard a wide range of vessel types while advancing from the position of Ordinary Seaman to Master Mariner. Some of the vessel types involved: Cargo Vessels (Bulk, PCC, Heavy Lift, Breakbulk, RO/RO), Deep Sea Tugs, 4,000 mt DP Derrick Barge, AHTS, Research.

  Involved with the startup and operation of Keel Design, while also providing operational marine expertise to vessel design and refit / conversions. In addition, supervised shipyard projects and other off-site projects. Activities spanned a wide range of vessel types from Floating Casinos to Derrick Barges to Arctic Tugs thru to Bulk Carrier conversion.

  Team Member with Deepwater Drilling Operations worldwide, including Dynamically Positioned and Anchored Deepwater Drilling Units. Also a Project Team Member during the Design and Construction of five (5) Ultra Deepwater Drilling Units for a number of Drilling Contractors.
