      Bachelor of Arts - BA English Literature and Creative Writing 2:1

      Activities and Societies: Poetry editor at University literature magazine called "Unpublished". Music and performance poetry. Involvement in Student Radio with my own radio show. During the three years I studied English literature from the Medieval era to modern times. The processes of writing fiction, non-fiction, poetry and screenplays were all studied in depth and I was required to submit my own creative pieces in all these styles.

      During the course I learned about trends and technology in modern journalism. This included topics such as new business models, digital marketing, SEO, and control of social media/community management. This knowledge was later applied to assignments in which we created modern journalistic products both written and audiovisual. My final project/dissertation involved the design of a sex education mobile application prototype, and a study of the field.

      For The Metropolist I wrote regular articles for the music section including reviews and articles about popular music news stories. I ran a series of articles on up and coming artists in which I scouted new talent and interviewed them for feature pieces. I also travelled to cover two boutique music festivals in Europe.

I excelled writing long content for our online magazines, short content for our blog, as well as taking on extra responsibilities including translations and social media copywriting.
