  Client: CISCOProduct Development• Ensure that new products are specified, setup, and verified during the NPI Product Lifecycle by working with business units and manufacturing teams.• Provide Sustaining Engineering support to Product groups across Cisco BU.• Participate in all elements of component engineering, including design support and component selection, which includes technical analysis, component reliability, availability, and component pricing.• Support Design Engineering in identification and qualification of similar Mechanical/Electrical/Electromechanical components.• Technical review & validate drawings for all Hardware & Thermal Parts used in NPI Sustaining Products.• Direct contact with global suppliers for product obsolescence updates, revisions to product specs, drawings, and design.• Initiate and lead efforts to identify and qualify second sources for material availability, cost reduction and reliability improvement with the knowledge all Mechanical Standards.• Co-ordinated with Stakeholders for second sourcing, spec compliance, compliance certificates, and also in development of prototypes with the vendor & other stakeholders.• Perform Alternate component search and provide a detailed Component comparison report.• Work with vendors on 8D report on Root Cause Analysis.• Ensuring all Cisco existing and new internal part numbers and descriptions are correct.PLM Experience• Responsible for handling the mechanical product BOM.• Handling ECO- ECR & Change Management process.• Release Deviations for NPI Products based on requirements.• Maintain Preferred Parts Database across Cisco for any component changes in Oracle PLM.• Creates new part in PLM system based on BOM.• Handling PLM Data Migration.
