  Obtain medical authorizations as required by insurances for radiology and chemotherapy, per physician orders. Research patient history through pathology and other diagnostic reports to assign the most specific ICD-10 codes. Review patient list of laboratory orders to assure each test has a covered diagnosis. Prepare appeals for our practice, as well as outside facilities that our patients are referred to, for services not performed in office. Compose letters of medical necessity per patients' individual requests, upon physician approval. Assist in preparation and final review of audit materials as requested by insurances and government agencies.
