      During my PhD I have concentrated on the topic of active vibration control using electromechanical transducers (electromagnetic and piezoelectric). My thesis work presented comprehensive study on the design and development of a new inertial actuator for the active vibration control applications. I successfully defended my PhD thesis in the beginning of September 2018 with Prof. Paolo Gardonio as my advisor. The project was formed by 8 participating hosts institutes (KU Leuven, ISVR University of Southampton, Leibniz Universität Hannover, Fraunhofer LBF, Siemens Industry Software, IK4-IKERLAN, UTwente) as well as 4 associated partners (Electrolux, TNO, TUD, Leuven.Inc).During work as the ESR fellow I have concentrated on the topic of active vibration control using electromechanical transducers (electromagnetic and piezoelectric). I worked on the development of a flywheel inertial electromechanical actuator for the implementation of velocity feedback loop that controls the broadband vibration of thin plate. Several prototypes were developed, designed with CAD software and tested. Two of them were based on the electromagnetic actuator, while one was based on the amplified piezoelectric actuator.
