      Sept 2012 - Sept 2019

As a Doctoral Research Scientist, I focused on advanced microscopy, immunochemistry, biochemistry, and computational analysis to investigate cardiovascular function. I utilized fluorescence-based techniques, including confocal microscopy and immunocytochemistry, to study the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiac calcium homeostasis disturbances leading to arrhythmias. My role involved developing MATLAB algorithms for analyzing cardiac cell images, improving the accuracy and efficiency of data analysis. I employed immunocytochemistry techniques to detect protein nitrosylation and performed biochemistry experiments, such as western blotting, to analyze protein expression and phosphorylation. Additionally, I mentored and trained master's students in experimental design and data analysis, fostering a collaborative research environment. Show less My research centered on vascular ex vivo pharmacology and computational modeling. I conducted dose-response experiments in rat aorta, developing mathematical models to quantify the contributions of distinct vascular beta-adrenergic receptor isoforms. My work involved creating MATLAB algorithms to simulate receptor binding dynamics and analyze pharmacological data. I collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to design experiments and interpret results, enhancing our understanding of vascular receptor pharmacology. This experience led to the development of novel computational models and experimental approaches that advanced our research capabilities and provided valuable insights into vascular beta-adrenergic receptor signaling. Research Internship-Department of Pharmacology and Systems Therapeutics

As a Research Intern at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, I was engaged on advanced microscopy and computational analysis to study cardiac function. I supported Ph.D. students in isolating rat cardiac myocytes and imaging calcium transients using laser scanning confocal microscopy. My work involved developing MATLAB algorithms to simulate cardiac calcium sparks, demonstrating the role of the Na-Ca exchanger in heart disease. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms of heart disease. Show less

      Aug 2018 - May 2019
Doctoral Fulbright Research Scientist -Cardiovascular Research Center

As a Fulbright scientist at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, I specialized in advanced microscopy, biochemistry, and computational analysis to explore cardiac function. I conducted surface electrocardiogram recordings and calcium transient measurements using confocal microscopy to investigate the role of sorcin in catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT). I also performed biochemistry techniques, including western blotting, to examine protein expression and phosphorylation and conducted kinetic radioligand binding assays to compare kinetic parameters of cardiac ryanodine receptors. Additionally, I developed MATLAB algorithms for data analysis, enhancing the efficiency and precision of experimental results. Show less
