  First job after graduation. Learnt some most important basics as an engineer from my experienced and devoted mentor.As a member of Maintenance Department, I was working on design and improving of damaged parts for manufacturing machines, such as lathe, miller, grinder, and many other customized metal processing machines. Also delivered 2 innovative designs to upgrade production equipment for better efficiency and quality.

  Group Design Manager / Mechanical Design Manager / Mechanical Engineer

  I joined atea (Shanghai) in 2004 as Mechanical Engineer, focusing in delivering engineering solutions for waste gas and waste water treatment plants for industrial manufacturers (i.e. semiconductor, automotive, chemical, etc.). I was mainly worked as a designer, but also participating project related works as project engineer and project manager. Before leaving atea I was titled as "Group Design Manager", which role is to manage the design team in China and also to developed group design standard, process, workflow, for better design efficiency and quality.The plant design works of my focus were for EPCM projects on a few disciplines, such as layout, civil, structure, equipment, piping, stress analysis, etc. from the very beginning of proposal to commissioning and as-built.Substantial engineering knowledge was acquired through intensive works, but really enjoyed and still cherish working with my team and all project members.   Shifted into insurance industry as a risk engineer, focused in both Property (70%) and Casualty (30%) line of business.Gained a lot of experiences through massive Property risk site surveys, risk evaluation, risk reporting and client recommendation. Accumulated good knowledge in both "Man-made" and "Natural Hazard" perils via trainings and learnings on certified safety engineering, local regulations and fire codes (GB, NFPA, FM).Casualty was also a focus, especially on Employer's Liability, had good research and study jointly with underwriting and supported robust business strategy.
