       Joined HAL in September 1998 and started career as Project Engineer working with Flight testing. Technical trouble shooting of flight snags, helped in gaining practical knowledge about various electrical, instrument & Radio-Radar systems. Presently working as Senior Manager (SOA) involved in the setting up overhaul line of Sukoi-30 aircraft. As a Chief Manager (SOA) in Final Assembly shop involved in the overhaul of Sukoi-30 aircraft, guided front line Engineers regarding various technical challenges coming up during equipping of aircraft. Technical challenges would range from structural rework to electrical wiring faults. Main role is to identify bottle necks coming up during production and come up with solutions to overcome the situation. Active participation with design regarding trial modification, its practical feasibility and suggest alternative methods. Liaison between various agencies like Quality, CRE , RCMA. Man and Material planning forms important part of the job. Planning of activities related to assembly and testing of aircraft to ensure timely delivery of aircrafts. Constantly review of critical shortages of LRU’s and sub-assemblies with the manufacturing shops. Being Quality conscious is very important in an aerospace industry and so is profitability. Actively participated in LEAN management program. Conducted various KAIZAN activities and lead ‘S0’ drives. Reduction of time cycle was the main motto.  As a part of company’s initiative to acquire AS9100 took care of document procedures, process indicators for the responsible areas. Leads and guides teams of engineers and technicians attending problems at various customer work sites (IAF).  Took lectures on introduction to instrument & electrical sys. to IAF Personnel and new recruits. Also imparted OJT to new technicians. Educate IAF staff on technical issues by providing solutions to the recurring problems. Show less
