  I seized the opportunity to join this Global Trading House specialised in metals and energy, where my remit was to manage a proprietary trading book across industrial and precious metals with a strong physical market focus. I developed trade strategies in outrights, spreads and options, based on fundamental and technical analysis informed by research generated internally as well as from outside sources. I worked closely with the physical desk to provide them with guidance on their hedges.

  Hired to lead a four-man Trading team based in London and Singapore, for one of the largest base metals names in the market following a challenging period for the bank in metals trading. I led the recovery and redesigned the business model, integrating a more robust risk control framework. I personally traded the Copper and Zinc portfolios and oversaw long-dated spread positioning across all base metals as Head of LME Derivatives, managing the options portfolio with substantial VaR.

  Hired as part of a two-person team to build a new metals derivatives and physical trading business in an established energy trading company. The role involved building trading and risk management infrastructure from which to build the platform and position for further product expansion.

  As Head of Base Metals Trading across linear and non-linear products, I managed a team of five traders based in London and Hong Kong. Following a restructure of the front office in 2020 that saw commodities integrated into the broader Macro Trading unit, I assumed leadership of Linear Metals Trading across base and precious metals in London. More recently I have driven our expansion into battery metals.
