      Warwick Nightline is a student-run listening service at the University of Warwick, providing support every night of term from 9pm to 9am. Whilst a member, I completed over 600 hours of on-night volunteering, helped to train new volunteers twice a year, assisted in developing new policies and served in two executive positions.Oct 2014 – Feb 2015, Instant Messaging (IM) officer*This role mainly involved organising and running two hour IM training sessions for volunteers. *Other duties included: keeping records of attendance, booking rooms and giving IM tests to volunteers to qualify as IM-trained.Feb 2015 – March 2016, On-going Training (OGT) officer*Primarily, I was responsible for organising and running OGT sessions for volunteers. *Additional duties included: running training sessions, liaising with external speakers and trainers, booking rooms and keeping records of attendance.*Examples of sessions are: Mental Health First Aid lite training, Samaritans workshop, ‘I Heart Consent’ Workshop, and emotional resilience training from the Head of Counselling.
