  Over the June holiday in my Honours year, I took an Internship with Accenture. I was based at Brandhouse, Cape Town, working at the SAP helpdesk. My responsibilities ranged from answering queries about the SAP system used at Brandhouse, to logging defects and assigning them to developers.

  Temporary Lecturer

  This was a part-time position during my Masters studies in which I lectured a theory course on Accounting Information Systems to 2nd year Accounting students at Rhodes University.This course involved introducing students to Information Systems and technology as a tool to facilitate a more efficient accounting practice. The use of event tables, process flows and UML diagramming techniques were also covered. The final examination involved the utilisation of the above techniques for a given case study. Show less

  Manage a team of Systems Analysts and Java Developers in the implementation of simple, fast and efficient Mobile Banking solutions on our USSD platform, servicing over 4.5 million customers every month.Our projects range from general system maintenance and upgrades, to minor UI enhancements, to new features and functionality in line with the strategic vision of the Bank built specifically to be easy to use for our mass market segment.Responsibilities include designing efficient, simple solutions that abstract product rules from the channel to ensure that we act as an interface between the customer and the rest of the Bank. As part of the digital channels in the Bank, we also ensure that our business strategies align across all channels and provide the best user experience and offering for our customers. Worked on more than 60 projects ranging from channel specific enhancements to product applications, cross-border solutions, security frameworks, third party integration and SMS/Email enhancements that make us part of the "Most Innovative Bank in the World" - 2012 BAI-Finacle Global Banking Innovation Awards.
