  Engineering intern for AR-guided EVD placement

  I am currently completing a 10-week internship focused on the clinical implementation of augmented-reality (AR) guided external ventricular drain (EVD) placement. My role involves adapting and improving both the hardware and software components of the system, while collaborating closely with clinicians to advance the research in this area. Our goal is to bring this technology, specifically using the Microsoft HoloLens, to a stage where it can be safely and effectively integrated into clinical practice for neurosurgical procedures.
