      -Served as project leader in Enactus Dr S.S Bhatnagar UICET, a team of 113 members working with sole objective of providing sustainable business solution to various underprivileged communities and identifying their skills.-Lead project ‘Phulkari’ in which ladies from underprivileged section of society were provided phulkari training and over 294 ladies were made entrepreneurs.-Represented Enactus Dr S.S Bhatnagar UICET in Enactus National competition from last 3 years.-The team won third prize in year 2014 and was adjudged semi-finalists in 2015 along with this Walmart women empowerment grant were also won Unilever special competition.-Represented team Enactus Dr. SSB UICET in HSBC Business case Competition and stood second runners up.-Represented department in Tata Social Enterprise Challenge in IIM – Calcutta and were selected as semi-finalists.       Industrial Training at Mondelez India Foods (formerly known as Cadbury) ltd Baddi, Distt. Solan in production and quality analysis of different types of chocolates. Internship included study of 5 different production lines and quality analysis of product and work in the following labs:- Operated supply lab where in testing of raw materials and packaging materials was done using Karl Fischer moisture meter, Bursting strength tester, Top Load tester, Biosox fat analyzer, Protein analyzer and Spectrophotometer-Worked in sensory lab and did sensory evaluation of finished goods.-Worked in Microbiology lab and did analysis of fungal count, Total Plate count, Salmonella, Coliform, Bacterial count, Yeast & mould count of finished products as well as water and air monitoring.-Used Enzyme linked flouroscent assay technique with the help of instrument of vidas family for detection of salmonella in chocolates.       Non Thermal Processing : Project Title: Characterization of a Novel Pulsed Light System for Inactivation of Bacteria in Liquids.-Performed Experiments for inactivation of Escherichia coli O157:H7 in Buffered Peptone Water using Xenon Corporation (X-1100), Pulse light system.-Conducted Experiments for inactivation of Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 35152 strain in buffered peptone water, apple juice and on the surface of apple.-Performed whole genome sequencing of DNA extracted from pulse light treated Listeria monocytogenes.-Poster Presented for the conducted study in ‘International nonthermal validation workshop' at Cornell University, 2017.Project Title: Impacts of High-Pressure Processing on Quality of Orange Juice and Plastic Packaging Films.-Checked for scalping of flavor compounds from 7 types of packaging films produced by company 'BEMIS'.-Analyzed orange juice for degradation of Vitamin C using high-pressure liquid chromatography and did shelf life testing.-Performed microbial analysis on high pressure processed orange juice for strains of Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli.       PhD Thesis Project: Value Addition to Acid Whey from Greek Yogurt Processing for Development of Kodo and Proso Millet based Nutritious Food ProductsFood, Nutrition & Exercise Department - University of Missourio Working on projects addressing upcycling of Greek yogurt processing by-product, acid whey for development of value-added products.o Collected data on the chemical composition acid whey as a functional food ingredient using analytical instruments such as LC-MS/MS.o Developed products for child and maternal nutrition using acid whey and underutilized ancient grains (kodo and proso millets).o Successfully performed microencapsulation of folic acid into the acid whey and millet using spray drying and extrusion-based method. o Characterized the developed powder products based on physical properties such as flowability, reconstitution properties, particle size, charge, rheology, thermal analysis etc. o Conducted in-vitro digestion studies based on INFOGEST protocol for the developed food products. o Developed Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) based food safety plan for a millet based infant/ complementary food.o Published 2 research paper, 1 review paper and presented this research in 5 conferences.
