      Sport Development Officer

I played a lead strategic role in the progression of sport in my local area. Working with multiple sports organisations including County Sports Partnerships, National Governing Bodies and over 120 local sports clubs, I was able to help coordinate and lead projects particularly targeted at improving mass participation in a variety of sports. Examples of these projects include the Easter Sport Tour and Summer Fun brochures where I engaged 2,500 children and young people per year in sports activities during school holidays. In addition another project I managed (Bikeability) received national recognition from the Youth Sport Trust in relation to the delivery of the scheme in which over 650 children participated in per year.As a result of my work within this role I was voted chairman of the South Holland Sports Forum enabling me to further assist clubs by advising them on issues such as funding and facilities whilst providing them with opportunities to meet key figures in sport across the county.
