    • REALOGIC

      Apr 1998 - Apr 1999
      Senior Manager

Senior Manager with REALOGIC, Inc.’s Public Sector Group in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In the Spring of 1998, I took a position with REALOGIC, a .com era management consulting services firm. I was as a senior program manager supervising delivery of services to state government customers. Because of prior military work, much of my time was spent on projects on the cusp between public safety and the courts. For example, during 1998 and 1999, in work for the Office of the State Court Administrator of New England state, I managed multiple judicial reorganization projects. One project focused on alignment of the Court’s IT operations with those of its core business in the state’s trial court. I also managed a second project included the reorganization of approximately 2,000 staff in six different court services support agencies into a single, functionally organized, agency reporting to the State Court Administrator. • CA

      Apr 1999 - Oct 2008

Between 2005 and 2007, I was the senior manager for homeland security/public safety solutions. My responsibilities included North America and the United Kingdom for business development goals including partner segmentation, analysis of homeland industry trends, technology mapping, coordination of lobbyists and other consultants, and forecasting billings/operational expenses. I worked with C4ISR/homeland security/public safety-focused partners, including IT application providers, global communications electronics manufacturers, and large federal systems integrators. I also worked directly with government customers to sell CA technology to support management of various SOA-based sensors, including radars, cameras, and ground sensors used for force protection applications. In 2008, I joined the Public Sector Strategy Team developing coordinated plans between various CA functional groups. This team worked directly for CA’s global Public Sector Senior Vice President and General Manager. Show less During this period I managed program and project managers delivering public sector client services. I also began work in support of the at that time new public sector vertical industry team, formed by CA’s then North American Sales Senior Vice President. In that capacity I participated in national forums concerning homeland security, including the Information Security Committee of the National Association of State CIO’s, the Intelligence Committee of the Metropolitan Chiefs of Police Conference, and the Intelligence Sharing and Critical Infrastructure Protection Working Groups of the Mid-Atlantic All-Hazards Consortium and the Policy Group of Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. In 2006, I was CA’s representative to the Corporate Fellows Committee on Information Technology of the National Governors’ Association. Show less In April, 1999, REALOGIC, my previous employer, was acquired by CA, Inc. During this period I managed significant projects assigned to my geographic team. In 1999, I lead an engagement for the Division of Administration and Finance of a New England state desiring to merge the IT functions of the state’s revenue services agency into the state’s IT service agency. I lead the business process engineering and network infrastructure design teams required to insure seamless integration of the various IT functions.Between 2000 and 2002, I managed the on-budget delivery of a web-based statewide protective order system for the Judicial Branch of a New England state. This cross-boundary project required management of stakeholders within the executive and judicial branches of government, as well as coordination of work done in multiple IT groups, including the state data center, state police, and the courts.
