      - Master’s thesis entitled “Microfluidic cell-chip for an in vitro hepatic disease model”.- The goal was to design, fabricate, test, and optimize a microfluidic cell-chip to create an in vitro human liver model. Hepatocyte-like cells (HLCs) differentiated through the human umbilical cord tissue were used in the work. This microphysiological system could be employed in disease modeling or toxicologystudies.- Inclusion of PDMS pneumatic valves to recirculate the culture medium through the HLCs culture.- Work done in collaboration with iMed.Ulisboa.Grade: 18/20 Show less
