Show less As the Head Project of the AAPG Workshop, I was responsible for the overall planning and execution of the event, which featured Mr. Sugeng Hartono, a Mud Logger from PetroChina. In this role, I led a team to design an educational and inspiring event for participants, particularly geology students interested in the oil and gas industry.My main responsibilities included coordinating with the AAPG UNSOED Student Chapter, managing logistics, creating the event schedule, and ensuring effective communication with the guest speaker. I was also in charge of making sure that all aspects of the event ran smoothly, from event promotion to providing the technical facilities needed to support Mr. Sugeng Hartono's presentation.The success of this event was measured by participant enthusiasm, the achievement of educational objectives, and the quality of interaction between the speaker and the audience. With his experience as a Mud Logger at one of the leading energy companies, Mr. Sugeng Hartono provided valuable insights into the role of mud logging in oil and gas exploration and production, adding significant value to the workshop.   Sedimentology Laboratory Assistant

  As a teaching assistant in sedimentology, with a primary responsibility for the practical sessions on depositional environments, I played a crucial role in helping students understand various depositional settings, such as fluvial, deltaic, and deep marine systems, along with the processes occurring within them. Through simulations and direct field observations, I ensured that participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how sediments are deposited, the distribution of facies, and how these patterns are reflected in the stratigraphic record.This experience is highly relevant to the industry, particularly in the mining and oil sectors. In mining, understanding depositional environments aids in the exploration and exploitation of resources such as coal and minerals, which are deposited within specific sedimentary systems. In the oil and gas industry, knowledge of sedimentary facies and reservoir distribution is essential for determining potential drilling locations and evaluating hydrocarbon reserves.Thus, this experience provides practical skills that can be directly applied to field analysis and strategic decision-making in these industries.
